Pan Zine

Editorial, Art direction

During a workshop as part of my Master's in Visual Communication and Art Direction in Barcelona, led by Laura Dorado, I undertook a project focused on the exaltation of ingredients and materials that compose objects. My project centered on the renowned Altamura bread, a staple from my hometown. The project explored a nearly technical language to visualize all characteristics of the bread, from the ingredients used in its preparation to the distinctive features that qualify it as a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) product. This detailed examination culminated in a fanzine, printed on the same type of paper used by ancient bakeries in my city for bread packaging. This initiative not only highlighted the intricate process of making Altamura bread but also celebrated my cultural heritage. The comprehensive visual identity and tactile presentation aimed to engage and inform the audience, encapsulating the essence and authenticity of Altamura bread in a creative and informative manner.
